Need some holiday cheer in your closet? Just because we can’t go out, doesn’t mean we can’t get dressed up! These are my go-to outfits that will get you in the holiday spirit. If you are looking to support a local business, Boutique 4 in Mountain View carries my favorite modern vintage pieces.
Chunky Sweaters
My go-to holiday staple are chunky sweaters. Not only do keep you warm but you look extra cozy while you are watching movies by the fireplace or cooking a nice homemade meal. Best places to find them are at Target, Marshalls, or thrift stores.
Style Tip: Always pair your chunky sweater with high-waisted pants or skirt.
Plaid on Plaid
Plaid pattern work great for the holidays especially in red and green tones. My favorite way to wear plain is with a plaid pattern skirt. Stores like Unique Vintage and Modcloth and Boutique 4 carry some of my favorite plaid clothing pieces.
Style Tip: Find masks that match your outfit, totally elevates your look
Winter Coat
A winter coat is staple for the colder weather. OK so maybe not like NYC cold but it is always a good idea to have a coat for the chillier months. A black coat that will last you for years is essential, but maybe try a bold red color for the holiday season.
Style Tip: Thrift stores always have great deal on coats, look for them at the beginning of the season or the off season when people are cleaning out their closets
Glam it up
I love a glitzy and glam look. The holidays are a perfect excuse to wear that glam dress that has been sitting in your closet all year! Even if its just for an hour, that hour you will feel like a million bucks.
Style Tip: Jewelry accessories elevate your glam look, don’t be afraid of the sparkle!
However you celebrate the holidays season, make sure you have fun and stay safe!
