Easy Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

Even though I have been in the Halloween spirit since September, somehow I always leave my Halloween costume to the last minute! Let me show you some of my favorite last minute costumes that are fun and unique.

Pop Art

This is one on my go-to Halloween looks because you need  minimal supplies to bring to costume to life. Just find any Roy Lichtenstein painting and create the same dotted cartoon design on your face. I have a whole tutorial on how to achieve this look on my YouTube channel. Also did a quick tutorial on TikTok.

The “Ghost” TikTok Trend

This trend was super popular in 2020 on TikTok and really easy to achieve! All you need is a white bedding sheets. You can easily find some at Goodwill ( just make sure to wash thoroughly before draping over yourself) now just have fun with some props like sunglasses, small pumpkins, antique books, hipster props, the list goes on. I think the more obscure and out there pro the funnier this costume can be. I had fun running around SF in the middle of September doing this trend. This is also a great group costume to do with your significant other our friends.

The Sanderson Sisters

The Sanderson Sisters are a classic costume for the Halloween season. I didn’t want to wear the “traditional” costumes that you see at all the Halloween stores. Instead, I did a DisneyBound take on these wicked sisters. I had all my pieces from my closet and any additional pieces I need to complete my “Mary” look, I got at Goodwill. Goodwill is such a great place to pull together a Halloween look with out spending a ton of money on a look you will only wear for one night.

Pink Lady

This is a classic Halloween costume and one of my favorites since I love the movie “Grease”

Things you need for this look

  • A pink jacket; you can iron on you own pink ladies graphic on your pink jacket like I did here.
  • A midi circle skirt
  • a pink hair ribbon
  • oxford flats

This is also a great group costume idea. For the T-Birds you just need jeans, white top and a black jacket.

Sugar Skull

Since Día de los Muertos is the day after Halloween, a sugar skull makeup is always a great way to get in the holiday spirit. I always like to play with color when doing a sugar skull makeup. Best tip is to have fun and be creative with the designs. I also have a tutorial on how to get this look on my YouTube channel you can watch here.

Things you need for this look

  • Face paint (I recommend this one)
  • An embellished flower crown
  • Keep you outfit simple, a black dress works really well for this look

Linda or Louise from Bobs Burgers

One of my favorite Halloween costumes has been Linda and Louise from Bob’s Burgers. You can also get your boyfriend or guy friend to be Bob or Gene. This costume is always a hit, plus you can always carry some wine or burger sliders the entire night to add to the costume.

Things you need for this look

  • For Linda: Red 3/4 sleeve Top, Red Glasses, and a white apron. Wine is optional *haha*
  • For Louise: Her signature pink ears (I made them with a pink beanie and the ears out of foam paper), an A-line green dress and black flats.

Rosie the Riveter

If you love pin up and vintage style, this costume is for you.

Las Tres Caballeras

Last year my girlfriends and I came up with the idea to be Los Tres Caballero’s but gender-bent ” Las Tres Caballeras”

Things you need for this look

  • Sombreros (we got ours at Goodwill)
  • black bow ties
  • Color coordinate with the characters. I basically just Disney Bounded but added some more costume-y accessories.
